What I learned from this assignment is that to capture motion, you have to have the correct aperture triangle. I had to work with my setting so that I could get the photo that I wanted to capture.

This was a PhotoShop tutorial assignment, we had to find a tutorial, and follow all the steps to have a created finished product. In this assignment I learned many new skills. I now better understand textures, layers, blending styles how to create shadows, and much much more. I also better understand the amount of time it takes to edit a photo and to create a finished image.

Photo 6 - ANIMAL
This assignment was about taking photos of animals. I did this by taking photos of dogs and cats (friends and families). I had to try to take photos of animals in their "natural" moments. For some this was sleeping, others it was just laying around, some stretching.
Before Edit
After Edit
Photo Triangle: ISO 200, f/4, shutter 1/400 sec

In this assignment I learned that its not always easy to get an animal to sit still to take photos of. Or in the case of my dads cat, not always easy to find. Animals aren't like people, you cant tell them what to do, or to move a little to the left. You have to position yourself instead of positioning the subject.

The assignment was the create visual puns by combining photos in PhotoShop. We had to create a total of 3, 5X5 photos, then combined them into one 15X5 photo.
I learned in this assignment how to use more tools in PhotoShop. How to blend photos and how to use the magic eraser. In addition, I had to be creative in deciding how to show these puns. Can you guess what they are?

Portraits
This assignment we had to take portrait photos using a bounce card, and a professional light set up. Then we had to edit the photos in PhotoShop to add the best photos together in one image.
In this assignment I learned how to use lighting, both professional and bounce card, to make a image have more light and less shadow. In addition, I was able to understand how to create frames in PjotoShop.

PhotoShop School
The assignment was to take a photo of the school and edit the photo so that it was different and had things that did not belong. For this assignment I took a photo of the bakery and photo shopped characters from the Smurf Movie into the photo.
In this assignment I was able to take parts of on photo (smurfs) and add it to another photo ( kitchen bake shop). I was able to get a better understanding of the tools in PhotoShop and how to work with layer of a photo. In addition, I had to work with using the correct image sizes to get the proportions of the photo to what I wanted.
Food- Photo Assignment 4
In this assignment I had to take photos of food. I decided to do this at my Halloween part over the weekend.
Triangle: ISO 800, f/3.7, exposure 1/30

In this assignment I learned the importance that background and plating when taking photos of food. Sometimes the food has to "busy" of a plate, and distracted from the focus on the food. In addition, I focused on filling the frame with the food instead of having space in the background.

Black and white
This assignment was based on black and white photography. You are able to take photos of anything you want, using the photo composition rules, and done so that photo is in black and white.
Triangle: f/4, ISO 3200, shutter 1/80 sec

In this assignment I learned how to see the world in black and white. A photo changes its feeling when its no longer in color. You have to express yourself more in composition, then depending on colors to explain the photo. I used space, rule of 3rds, and contrast to create my best photo.

Panoramics
This assignment we had to take 3 or more shots of a scene, that overlapped by a 1/3 and combined them together in PhotoShop. We had to do a total of 5 Panoramas, including one of the school and one of nature.
During this project I learned how to take panoramic photos. The concepts and methods needed to allow the photos to merge. In addition, I learned how to use photo shop to create such panoramic photos. Its always important to keep all the settings on the camera the same and to stay steady. It works best if you have a tripod or something to set the camera one to stabilize it.

Still life
In this assignment I set out to take still life photos.Still life is both natural or man made objects that you take photos of, and manipulate how they are places, spaced and the background.
Best Photo
Aperture Triangle: ISO 1600, f/3.5, exposure 1/250 sec
Slideshow:

In this assignment I learned many things. You cans just point and shot to get a hood photo. You have to work at it, create backgrounds and place objects. You have to have the right lighting, and the right spacing or else the photo will not have good composition. I used the rule of thirds the most when shooting photos.

Photo Assignment 1
This assignment I started out wanting to take photos of architecture, however, I ended up taking photos of nature. This is because of the colors that were present to due it being the fall season.
The aperture triangle: ISO 400, f/5.3, exposure 1/320 sec

This assigent I learned that when you set to take photos of one project, something else might catch your eye. I drove around Saline looking for archetecture, and in the end found photos of nature instead. You have to keep your eye out, looking all around for a good shot. I also learned how to keep my camera more stable, and how to change the settings.

Popart Assignment
After many tries, and on many computers, for some reason the assignment would not work. Therefore, O'D excused me from doing this project.
Photoshop- Car
In this assignment we learned how to work with levels, layers, cloning, cropping and much more. We did all of this in PhotoShop, a program used to edit photos. By using all these tools, I was able to duplicate the photo so that it matched a demo provided.

What I hope To Accomplish
The first week of photos I hope to take photos of architecture. I will do do this by taking photos of the school, downtown Saline, and around my neighborhood. Looking online I found these examples of architecture that I hope will help me take better photos.

http://www.flickr.com/photos/cubagallery/4550017109/
These two photos both have different composition elements that make the photos eye catching. They have prospective elements, framing, color, and symmetry. I hope to be able to use such elements to create my photo this week.
